North American airlines posted an improved on-time performance for September, gaining more than five points compared to August's numbers.
More than four out of five flights (80.5%) landed within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival times, according to new data from FlightStats. One major execption? American Airlines, which had a dismal 59.08% on-time rate for the month, the numbers show.
Airlines also did better regarding cancellations, with 7,985 flights not operating as scheduled, compared to 14,564 canceled in August.
Here's a look at the 10 most on-time airlines in North America this September, a list that includes some familiar names (Delta, US Airways) and some smaller carriers you might not know (Bearskin Airlines, Horizon Air).
